Mr. Kent's Waking Dream (2003) is a four panel work conceived for the windows of the Christinerose/Josee Bienvenu Gallery in New York City. The work consists of four discontinuous images from within a redwood forest. The images are printed on backlit film and installed directly on the windows, illuminated by the natural light outside.

As the gallery is on the second floor of a large converted industrial building, the windows face out about 20 feet above the street level. Appropriately, the images do not show the ground of the forest, but rather a view looking directly into the trees from a similar height. The images are scaled so that the foliage in the foreground is approximately life size. Because they are lit from the outside light, the images are dynamic, responding to changes in the level of daylight.
