Ab Aeterno, from the beginning of time, is a movement away from the predictable,
to a system outside of preconception. The works in this series investigate a wholly imaginative place;
a place of forms, forces, chaos, order, interrelationships, all existing outside of the fixed and the ordained: outside of time.
I work with natural elements to create the feeling and illusion of a different nature.
I am most interested in working with the tension between the actualities of nature and our definitions of nature.
This is the contradiction between the phenomenological and the perceived.
This is art built with nature. But is it nature anymore? Does nature move out of its own time the moment it is touched?
Does it break the illusion of being in time? Does touch end nature?
