Many of these sculptures are the result of a collaboration with another artist. The major collaborator is Heather Brubaker, an artist who lives and works in San Francisco.

Heather Brubaker received a BA in Studio Art at Dartmouth College and an MFA in 2004 from the University of CA, Davis. She attended the School of the
Art Institute of Chicago in 2001, an artist residency at the Vermont Studio Center in 2005 and curated a group exhibition
Uncharted: Imaginary Landscapes at a
San Francisco venue in 2008.
Some of Richard Brubaker's sculptures are simply based on shapes and ideas inspired by Heather Brubaker's original paintings and sketches. Others are created through
her design and direction from inception to completion.
